Random Catchup x)

Good evening!

I just got back from University campus where I've spent most of today working on my home exam. So now I'm just relaxing in my room, watching Friends, waiting for the EM match to begin. Norway is playing against Hungary, and I wanna see how it'll go. I'm not really a big football fan, but I do enjoy watching it from time to time. I guess my friends have had a good influence on me.. I used to not like watching at all.

The temperature has been falling down dramatically lately, so the big, comfy sweaters have been getting out more frequently these past days. I have been playing with the idea of making another cookbook. I have made one before, and that was also a fall/winter one. I feel this is the only time I make this. No idea why. I remember thinking "I should make a summer cookbook!". But it just never happened. I'm getting way too lazy.

Halloween

This year for halloween I had 2 parties to attend, so I decided to go for two different looks. One was inspired by Hel, the norse death goddess. The other was inspired by a bloody vampire picture I found. I was very pleased with both looks. What do you think?

Halloween fun + my look for the night

Happy December guys!

I have been missing from the blog for quite some time, and this post is extremely late. It's my halloween look!! For halloween this year I went to a party hosted by our student organization, where the theme was historical figures, happenings or epochs. I didn't really know what to dress up as, since I didn't bring much clothes that would match any age or happening, but in the en I decided to go as a victorian inspired haunted doll. Because I also wanted to be scary, since it was after all halloween.

I uploaded a video on YouTube where you can see my makeup and outfit for the evening. It was a lot of fun at the party, and I am already looking forward to next year. ^_^

Here are some photos of my look;

Should have had this up sooner, but better late than never right?

Bye Bye~

Tween halloween costumes too sexy??

Hello! How do you do? ^_^

Today is the 29th of October, and you know what that means..? Tomorrow is Halloween!! I am quite excited! I really like halloween. Who doesn't like to dress up and look really scary to scare each other and go out and have fun? I know I do. So the last weeks have been spent trying to figure out something cool and scary I can be. And I am still not sure...
I think I know what makeup to do, but I just don't know what to wear or what to call it...
I do know one thing though, I don't want to be a sexified character, like a slutty nurse or a sexy angel/demon or the ever so sexy cop, which seem to be the popular choices...

Halloween should be about dressing scary, not sexy and slutty trying to get lucky. You can have a normal costume party any time of the year where you can dress sexy and cute, but this is the one night of the year you should be a little bit scary. I just had this discussion with a friend earlier today, and she found a really interesting article by Huffington Post where they write about how sexy tween costumes look. Read the article here

A tween is a person who is between the age of 10 to 12, so they are still kids. The tween costumes they talk about in the article was absolutely not for kids... They are slutty versions for 10-12 year olds. Why would a 12 year old child need to wear skirts and dresses that doesn't even cover their butt?! I really don't see the logic. They should still be able to be kids, and run around having fun, not looking like people my age trying to get laid. It is just wrong. I really hope my future kids don't want to wear something like that, because that's not gonna happen. Parents out there, do you really want your little girl to look like this? It is important to teach them what message they are sending out to people, but 10-12 year olds are not able to fully understand that yet, since they are after all still just kids.

These are some of the photos that show up when you search "tween halloween costumes" on Google. Luckily most of the pictures had tights and such, but still. Is this what 10-12 year olds should want to wear? It is scary how early they are going to get judged by their body, because that is what these costumes do. They are going to feel like they have to look sexy far too early, and it is not logical that kids should look sexy. The age limit to have sex in Norway is 16 years old, far from their age, so why on earth should they look like sex objects?

So after adding "scary" to the search, and some schrolling down Goolge pictures for a while, I found some costumes that fits a 10-12 year old a little better. Why not be scary and look like an actual tween for halloween?

Okay, enough of my rambling now. Just felt like getting this out. It have really been bugging me all day.
So now I need to get back to my philosophy assignment... Almost written a whole page :D

Bye Bye
