UK Vacation 2015 Day 3; Exploring Edinburgh!

Goooood Morning!

It is day 3 of our UK trip.
Today we are jumping on a train to Scotland!! Super excited!
The train left at 8 in the morning, which meant we had to get up at around 6-7am... Way too early. But I am a super worrywart, so I do not want to miss the train, meaning I would rather sit and wait, rather than having to run to make it. Yeah, I sound kinda boring.. x) But at least we made the train.

So much beautiful nature! Scotland is very similar to Norway, but that's not so much of a shocker since we have the same climate and everything. After a couple of hours on train, crossing the border and officially entering Scotland, we jumped on a bus towards our hotel. Let me tell you, taking the bus in Scotland with all of our baggage was not easy. We took up so much space, hahaha x) But we made it, and the hotel was amazing! We got a super fancy room with a kitchen and everything. Sadly we didn't have too much time to enjoy it. Next time!

After throwing our stuff into the hotel, and getting ourself cleaned up, we went out to explore the beautiful city of Edinburgh. And let me tell you; Stunning! The buildings are so gorgeous and look like they are filled with so much history.

We stayed in a walking distance to most of the stuff, so we took the time to go check out Edinburgh Castle. Such a beautiful and interesting place. I'll let the photos speak for themselves

So much history! I loved just walking around, taking it all in. After finishing our tour, we headed down closer to the sentrum looking for some food. Found some adorable little pigs. Funfact; pigs are my Chinese zodiac sign. So yeah, had to take a picture ^3^

This dude had incredible lungs! Like seriously, insanely strong lungs. Or he might just have learned a fancy pancy breathing technique letting him blow the bag for ages... What do I know. Still pretty impressive

After eating we met up with a friend of my friend who was in town as well. Went for a couple of drinks before we headed back to the hotel to get som sleep before the next day. Because the next day we were heading to the festival! :D 

UK Vacation 2015: London Day 2

Hello! 

It is July 7th today, day 2 of our UK trip, and we are still in London. Got to sleep a little longer today, but we got up early enough for us to get most out of the day. The weather was slightly gloomy, but still quite nice. So it was time to go explore London once more, and I got to start the day of with a classic english breakfast! 

Or actually it started with taking the Tube to Baker street once more. There we found a little restaurant/café next to Madame Tussauds where we ate before heading into the wax museum. I was so full after this, couldn't even finish it... But it was really good! So after filling up our stomachs we headed to Madame Tussauds to use our tickets.

After finished at the museum, we went to eat lunch at Hyde Park, where something hilarious happened: The four of us were slightly jet-lagged and low on sleep, which gives us an amazing humorus sence. We were joking around and laughing a lot. So after sitting down on a bench, some kids/teenagers approach us, and asks "Do you smoke weed?" Our friend who was a little tired couldn't completely hear what they were saying, so he asked "Huuh?" *Note, he had some stubble and looks kinda like a stoner, even though he is not* I think they had to repeat their question like three time at least before we actually could prosess what they were asking.. We answered "No!" They shrugged and kept on walking. We just burst out in laughter once we actually got to wrap our minds around it; We must look super stoned! Hahaha, does not sound too fun when written here, but it was hilarious when it happened. The rest of the trip, we sorta got the feeling that everyone in the UK must think we're stoned or high on our socks since we always laugh and smile all the time. ^^

So after finishing our fun time in the park, we headed of to do some shopping and then eat dinner at a cute, little Chinese restaurant. Super nice people running it. Then we went back to the hotel to sleep, since we had to get up suuper early tomorrow!
