UK Vacation 2015; London Day 1

*Proper British accent* Good Day Lovely People!

It is now 6th of July, and the official day 1 in London. We were all quite exhausted after the long flights the day before, but we had ordered tickets for Madamme Toussauds which might show up from 9am, so we had to get up and be ready if the arrived. We got up, all in a zombie-like state, and got dressed, did our makeup and moved out into the streets.

We walked to the nearest underground, got ourself an Oyster card and took the Tube to Baker street. After getting to Madamme Toussauds, we found out that the tickets had not arrived yet, so we had to wait until they came by email. After a lot of going back and forth, they told us that we could just wait with the tickets, and when they arrived we could use them later. So we decided to save them for the next day. Instead we went to a park near by called Regents Park. Since the weather was really lovely, it would be a shame to stay inside all day. The park was incredibly beautiful. I really liked it. It was huge too.

Found the Sherlock Holmes statue!! :D The Greatest Detective <3

We went for a walk in Soho later, exploring the era looking for food. We found some bubble tea, and it was very good. Even though the tapioca was a little bit too much for me. Found a nice asian restaurant inside an open mall kinda place. It had really good food. <3

Then we walked around for a while and went down to Trafalgar Square.

Next stop of the day was Piccadilly Circus and then Chinatown London Market.

And a huge candystore <3

London Eye next!

We were super touristy sometimes ^^

Lastly we grabbed some food and headed home after a looong day~

Until next time..<3

UK Vacation 2015; London Arrival Day

Hello everyone!

The 5th of July I left for England together with some friends for our summer vacation. We spent around three days in London, four if you add the night we arrived, but we didn't land before 11pm..

Anyway, we spent all Sunday flying, transferring and flying some more. Something fun/annoying that happened; We were sitting at Værnes Airport, waiting for our gate to come up, when we saw a little notice on the board by our flight saying; New Time.... Our flight was delayed by a half to one hour. Usually I don't really mind if stuff is delayed, as long as it is my final destination, but we had to transfer planes in Stockholm, and this delay meant that we would only have 5-10 minutes to get through passport control and get to our gate... STRESS... Luckily a lot of the people in our flight were also getting the plane from Stockholm to Heathrow, so they were aware of the problem. We flew in a little of the time, so we ended up having like 20 minutes to get to the gate. After getting through the passport control, we ran to the gate only to see that the flight was delayed there as well... We ran for no reason what so ever! But at least we made the flight ^_^

We arrived at Heathrow late, around 10-11 pm. We had ordered a taxi to come pick us up, thank god we did that. Taking public transportation with all our backpacks would have been a right pain in the arse. The taxi driver was really nice. It took a while getting into London, and we struggled a little finding the hotel, because the street where our hotel was were under renovation, so half the walls were covered with stuff, enabling us to see the full name of the hotel. When we finally found the hotel, we all fell down on our beds and fell asleep.

Until next time..<3
